Reddit网友KringleSwag日前在网站上透露，他与American Express （AmEx）的高级主管（senior supervisor）聊天并获悉，以往AmEx规定每个人只能拥有4张个人卡（personal card），现在政策有所松动，每个人可以拥有5张个人卡。由于这样政策的改变，第五章卡必须由人工审核通过。此人必须是执行团队成员（executive team member），就算职位是高级主管（senior supervisor），也必须请示执行团队成员。
I know there has been a lot of debate about whether Amex allows 4 or 5 credit cards. Most recent DPs show 5. However, a senior supervisor let me know that their policy was actually changed from 4 maximum cards to 5. Because of this change, the 5th card has to be added through manual approval. The manual approval is up to the discretion of the “executive team member.” Even my senior supervisor had to call out to the executive team member. This discretion is probably the main reason we have some mixed DPs.
Edit: Found this out going from 4 cards to 5. The 5th card went through this entire process.

第五张是最近两三个月批的么，那看来是真的松动了，而不是系统bug。
很早了 csr刚出的时候批的；而当时supervisor告诉我的和这个reddit的dp其实一样，当时说“根据你和我们的关系，尽管通常我们只批四张卡，现在我们决定给你extend一张卡的批准”
